The Timmins Women's Recreational Hockey League was established in 2008
by three enthusiastic individuals who were keen on giving women,
in the Timmins area, a place to play organized ice hockey
We are a non-profit, non-sanctioned league affiliated with the Canadian Adult Recreational Hockey Association [CARHA] and proudly associated with several local community supporters whose contributions play a key role in our success
We have two separate divisions based on our experience over the past 15 years
We encourage our casual players to enjoy the sport at their own pace while empowering our
higher caliber players to compete within their own skill level
Recreational Division
For those new to the sport, have been playing for years or simply wish to enjoy a slower paced game with no slap shots
We aim for 4 teams of 12 skaters (max) to play 2 games per week
Games are at various arena's on various days, mostly at 8pm or 9pm
Competitive Division
For mid/high caliber players who enjoy a quick pace where slap shots are allowed
Consists of 2 teams of 15 skaters each & play 30 games over 20 weeks
Games are at various arena's on various days at 8pm or 9pm
NOTE: Fee's & number of games are based on availability and the number of registered players
